Panskoye I

Dette er publikationen af udgravningen af Panskoye I, en antik bosættelse på det nordvestlige Krim dateret til ca. 400-270 f.Kr. Bosættelsen var en koloni af Olbia, den vigtigste græske by på Sortehavets nordkyst. Et halvt århundrede efter grundlæggelsen blev fæstningen ødelagt og bosættelsen blev overtaget af en anden græsk bystat, Chersonesos Taurica (det nuværende Sevastopol), og var herefter del af denne bys "chora", d.v.s. territorium.

Dette er det første af tre bind: Bind 1 omhandler udgravningen af den monumentale bygning U6; Bind 2 vil beskrive bosættelsens nekropolis; Bind 3 vil omhandle de resterende bygninger, heriblandt U7, som oprindelig var en fæstning med fire runde hjørnetårne.

Bygningen U6 indeholdt bl.a. forrådslager, to helligdomme, lejligheder til beboelse og et rum til fællesspisning. Publikationen indeholder kapitler om de arkitektoniske fund, såvel som fund af keramik, terrakottastatuetter, lamper, mønter m.m. Udgravningen og publiceringen af Panskoye I er et resultat af et samarbejde mellem Institute of Material Culture, Russian Academy of Sciences, St. Petersburg, og Institut for Klassisk Arkæologi, Aarhus Universitet.
