Projektets formål var at undersøge de økonomiske og sociale relationer mellem en antik, romersk by, Segermes, og dennes opland. Resultaterne af undersøgelsen er fremlagt i de første 2 bind, medens konklusionerne og perspektiverne er beskrevet i dette 3. bind.
