Learning in Classrooms præsenterer en række eksempler på, hvordan undervisning i biologi, historie, matematik, fysik og sprog kan forankres i børnenes hverdagsviden, og på hvordan børn kan bruge deres erfaringer fra hverdagens begivenheder i klasseværelset, således at de kommer til at have sammenhæng med skolefagenes begreber.
